The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Service (DHSS), Office of Emergency Management, issued an Epinephrine Auto-Injector Interim Policy on December 13, 2006.

So far, 108 EMT-Basic Squads (out of over 700 Squads) have registered with DHSS and implemented this policy as of early August 2007.

Five lives have been saved so far; the first one was a little boy in Princeton, NJ.

We are told that more registrations are being submitted.  Hopefully the recent Trenton Times story of the Princeton incident will encourage more Squads to register.
